MORRISVILLE, N.C. — A new low-fare airline, Breeze Airways, will join Raleigh-Durham International Airport in early 2023.
Breeze is the fourth new airline to announce service at RDU this year, joined Icelandair, Avelo and Bahamasair.
The airline will fly travelers nonstop from RDU to Hartford, Connecticut; New Orleans and Providence, Rhode Island, beginning in mid-February. An Airbus A220 aircraft will be used for the flights, which will have up to 137 seats.
“We are excited to be the first airport in North Carolina to welcome Breeze Airways,” said Michael Landugth, president and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority. “Breeze is a great fit for Research Triangle travelers who value affordable options, savvy service and plenty of perks.”
RDU will be the airline’s 35th destination.
